Times running out to apply for a Small Grant Fund to help improve outcomes for older people in the Borough of Lewisham

Deadline is 11pm, Sunday 16th October 2016

The Positive Ageing Council has a limited pot of funding with grants of up to £500 available to help smaller clubs and organisations working with older people in the Borough.  This fund is to help them develop further.

This focus this year is on helping to resource organisations with items they require or would find useful to benefit older members.

Over the years there have been some interesting bids for this amount, ranging from providing a dementia clock, tablet computers, tea urns and exercise sessions.

And as this fund is for resources only, applications for one-off trips, building works or building improvements, general ‘core’ running costs for clubs, or costs for staff, will not be considered by the Positive Ageing Council.

This fund is not open to individuals, so please apply through your group or club. And it is expected to be oversubscribed so, unfortunately, not all applications will be successful.

Applications for the 2016–17 small resource which opened on 5 September will be closing real soon on 16 October 2016 at 11pm.
