It has been reported that the Workspace Group has paid £10.525m for the 33,635 sq ft new Cannon Wharf Business Centre – built to replace the previous one on the site of the Greenland Place development.
Speaking to Property Week, Jeremy Grundy of Levy Real Estate, which advised Bluebell Partnership on the sale, said: “Greenland Place is an excellent mixed-use development in a rapidly emerging area of London.
“We are also leasing the retail element of the scheme and have recently put under offer a 4,969 sq ft supermarket unit in the project.”
“Greenland Place” as stated on the Lewisham Borough website is “a partnership between London Business Centres and Barratt Homes…” and “…includes 679 new homes (including two tall buildings of 20 and 23 storeys), a purpose-built business centre which is expected to create at least 80 new jobs on the site (25% more than previously), a children’s nursery, and landscaping along the former route of the Surrey Canal.”
Although marketed as being in Surrey Quays, the building is actually located at the intersection of Yeoman Street and Pell Street, SE8 (in Evelyn Ward which covers North Deptford in the London Borough of Lewisham) and is already available to rent on the Workspace website.
