After Millwall’s total humiliation in mid-week against Peterborough going down 5-1 in a performance that Lions boss called Rubbish. The game against The Blades takes on special significance. Both Millwall & Sheffield united in their midweek games were 3 down after 20 minutes and their games was effectively over. At the end of the night the only difference was the Lions conceded another 2 goals but did manage to score.
United have played 3 games and only got 1 point for their efforts conceding 5 goals in the process. United are the genuine big club in Division 1 and it was expected that they would be sitting at the top of the table instead of being 3rd bottom. After the defensive shambles against Posh, Harris may have to look at his defensive pairing Shaun Hutchinson who is a central defender had a re-occurrence of his hamstring problem so he will be out.
Whether the centre of the defence will be Craig & Webster who knows one of them could be dropped and Sid Nelson could come in. What is certain Harris will need to do some hard thinking for Saturday.
It remains too been seen whether the Blades will be good enough to take advantage of defensive fragilities. One thing is for sure the home support will be quick to tell the Lions in no uncertain times if they get any inkling of another shambolic performance on Saturday.
