In his manifesto, Emmanuel, who has already been involved with the Young Mayor programme for two years, talked about improving communication between the young mayor and young people, and running events, an area in which he has already had success.

This year, the Young Mayor of Lewisham programme is celebrating its 10th anniversary and is the longest running programme in the UK.
