Local group of talented young dancers need your help!

Can you help raise funds for GDND Crew to enable compete in the World Hip Hop Dance Championship in Las Vegas? Here is their story...

The GNDN Crew

GDND Crew is a group of talented young dancers aged 10-12 years old from South East, London.  They are passionately committed to various forms of street dance. Their competition dance teams are among the top ranked teams in the UK.

On 27th – 28th February 2016 at Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth, GDND competed in the Junior Crew category at the British Hip Hop Dance Championships. They achieved 3rd place and qualified to represent Great Britain in the World Hip Hop Dance Championship finals, which will be held in Las Vegas this August 2016. It’s the world’s most celebrated dance event, where crews and mega-crews from over 50 nations will compete to capture the world title.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! GDND have to fund over 6 kids to Las Vegas including flights, hotel, entrance, uniform, rehearsals and will cost over £9,000. GDND is seeking support from their community and local businesses and would appreciate any type of donation, including gifts, services, products and/or monetary contributions. They will be trying to fundraise and get sponsorship for as much as they can to make sure all crew members get to take part in this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Emma Hoang, GDND Crew member, commented, “It was an amazing and surreal feeling to win. We’ve worked hard to get this far. To compete in Las Vegas would be a dream come true. It would be great to meet dancers from around the world, hearing all the different languages and being in a room full of people who share the same love for one thing, DANCE!”

GDND Academy (www.gdnd.co.uk) provide a wide range of dance classes in South East London for different age groups, beginners to advanced, toddlers through to adults.

Miss Danni Reid

“I’m so proud of them, and all of their achievements! We spend most of our weekends together, be it rehearsing or at shows and competitions, the bond between us all has become almost like a second family for us. It would be a dream come true for me and my team of dancers to grace the world Hip hop championship stage! We would be so proud to represent the South East of London, and show them the talent that really grows from this neck of the London woods!” Commented Danni Reid, Founder & Director of GDND Academy.

We need your support, please visit the fundraising page www.crowdfunder.co.uk/gdndcrew. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated. Your generosity will truly impact the success of the national award winning GDND Crew!”
